Burgess Hill Help Point adds banking services

Last night’s Town Council meeting heard that Lloyds Bank have confirmed they will extend their contract to provide a “community banker” every Wednesday (9-3pm) at the Help Point in the Town Council offices at 96 Church Walk. The meeting reviewed the services offered by the Help Point and how services are continuing to be developed including providing a banking service from the Halifax when the existing branch closes.

The Help Point is a unique service provided by Burgess Hill Town Council with support from Mid Sussex District Council and acts as a “one stop” shop where residents can access local government and other services and get support with inquiries about local issues. The service also acts as Mid Sussex’s only accredited tourist information centre and provides a shop window for local micro-businesses providing items for sale as well as computer access and support with a range of tasks such as completing council tax and housing benefit applications. Residents can call in during the week (Monday to Friday), phone or email.

Additionally councillor surgeries are held on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month (10-12). Search Burgess Hill Town Council Help Point or phone 01444 247726.
